The mission of the Miami Dade Multi-Agency Peer Support Team is to support and guide all members of our law enforcement community and their families, through wellness practices and resources that encourage balance of body, mind, financial and spiritual wellness.
1. Create a culture that provides our law enforcement community members the opportunity to seek assistance without the fear of repercussions.
2. Provide education and resources that will guide officers and other members of the law enforcement community in learning how to self-regulate their mental, physical, emotional, and financial well-being, due to everyday life stressors. well-being, and prevent suicide.
3. Provide education in critical incidents & response to include pre-event, active event, and post-event wellness practices that guide toward post-traumatic growth.
4. Provide peer listening while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity to members of our community in a time of need.
5. Provide a referral process for Wellness Service Providers.
6. Provide a confidential online/on-demand resource access platform for members of our law enforcement community and their families.
7. Remain current with professional trends and research in the areas of law enforcement wellness and peer support.
